What are Financial Statements?

Income Statement

Also known as Profit and Loss statement. It summarizes a company’s revenues and expenses over a specified period, usually quarterly and yearly, resulting in net income or loss.

Cash Flow Statement

This statement summarizes cash inflow and outflow for a company over a specific period, such as quarterly or yearly.

Balance Sheet

This statement provides a snapshot of a company’s financial position at a specific point in time. It details the company’s assets, liabilities, and shareholders’ equity according to the following equation: Assets = Liabilities + Shareholder’s Equity.
